Trend...

The '90's' are back in a big way in fashion.  'MOM' jeans are in, crop tops, lots of black and white.  What is also hitting the streets are mirrored sunglasses.  Yes, think 90s surf style windbreakers meets 90210 mixed with uber cool orginal hipsters! hahaha
I love sunglasses, I have a huge collection but looks like I might have to add some old school flare into the mix.
Careful, people might actually use them as a mirror to see if anything is in their teeth! haha so jokes.

30 to THIRTY...

It is here... today I turn THIRTY!!!  woooooo hooooo!
I welcome this new decade with open arms!!

I look forward to celebrating with friends this coming weekend (again, for those who came to the surprise party)!  Fun times will ensue that I know!

30 to THIRTY...

Today is the last day of my twenties.. I couldn't be more thrilled!  Happy to see the end of this era!  The beginning of my twenties were a riot! Lived it up... second half were all about growing up and paying bills; not so much fun..lol

I look forward to not only tomorrow but a new chapter!

30 to THIRTY...

Today marks day 4.. however on Saturday night (day 6) my friends and family threw me a SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY!!  I did not see it coming a MILE away!  I was overwhelmed with the love in the room from those that are my dearest.  My sister worked tirelessly to make the event perfect, and boy was it!  My friends had known about this party for well over a month and I was shocked not one of them ever made a slip up!  Thank you to all who came out and to those that sent their regrets, it was a fabulous night and I LOVE YOU ALL!

Above is my birthday cake that my sister {Miss Cupcake} made!!  Confetti cake is my favorite and let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS!

Day #8... just over a week away.. woot woot.. I can feel the excitement!  lol

Since starting this blog almost 2 years ago, wow, time flies, I have been lucky to meet some amazing ladies within the Toronto Plus Size blogger community.  I see these ladies every time there is an event, we tweet often and I try to keep up with all their amazing blogs!

This photo was from the last event we all attended for {AdditionElle} flagship store opening.  This picture may only have 8 of us in it, but can't forget those extra ladies behind the camera too who I adore just as much!  As well as the other bloggers who attended the event that I had missed by the time I got there.

Day #9 to THIRTY is today! 

 

I always seem to be a source of info for friends and strangers when it comes to well EVERYTHING..lol (Not trying to sound cocky)  I read a ton of blogs, keep up with the news.  I like to be cultured and have the ability to keep a conversation about everything with everyone.  Consider me a little OCD in the culture department..lol  So I thought for today I would showcase 9 blogs I read daily!  I read more than nine that's for sure, but these I check in with daily!

30 to THIRTY...

Well I am back... wedding events this weekend over took my life last week and well frankly this blog is a hobby and sometimes I just cannot do it all!
So let's do a couple catch ups!

Day 16 to THIRTY:

When I was 16 I was lucky enough to go on exchange program to Paris!!  Yes Paris at 16 for a month.... just as insane as it sounds.  The girls I traveled with were amazing, I have these memories that will always be with me.  Paris is my favorite city in the world (so far) and I think that is because it was my first true love.  It gave me the appetite to travel, to love fashion (you wouldn't know that by this lovely ensemble I know) and most importantly it gave me independence at a young age.  The year was 1999 the cusp of the new millennium, and the world was mine!  I was 16 life was perfect.

 

Day 14 to THIRTY:

I entered high school.  Being 14 felt like you were no longer a little kid, but you were an adult.  I was in high school.  Pretty sure I thought I knew everything.  I would lose friends this year you had since I was 5, I would meet people whom to this day are still close friends.  I fully remember when this picture was taken I looked amazing in my brown Cover Girl lipstick.  When I got this id all I could say was I thought I looked like a cocker spaniel...lol.. legit, that is what I thought.

I would tell my 14 year old self now to study a little harder, party no less than you did and to always smile cause life right now, you have it!  OWN IT.

 

As of today is Day 10... almost there!!!!  Final home stretch!!!  In honor of this day I will list 10 'material' things I cannot live without.  Cause family and friends are a given ;)

1.  Mascara, daily must have makeup
2.  Havaianas flip flops, never will buy another pair of flip flops, EVER
3.  Clinique moisturizer, amazing for my skin, keeping my wrinkles away
4.  my passport, nuh said
5.  Reebok runners, never worn another brand
6.  Bananas, they are my favorite fruit
7.  My Tivo/DVR, he, yes he is a he, is my favorite boyfriend ever  lol
8.  Starbucks, my Americano Misto is by far my favorite espresso coffee bevy
9.  My figure skates, they have taken me round and round in life and most importantly was my first passion
10. my cell phone, cliche as that sounds, but nowadays I think we all can relate.  Just wish my BB had Instagram so I can see life through the new modern 'rose coloured glasses' view point!

30 to THIRTY...

I am officially out of the 20's of the countdown and onto the teens!  Today is day 17 on route to THIRTY.  And frankly, I have nothing to say today!..lol  

So I will leave you with some street fashion inspiration.  Cause at the age of 17 and on Monday everyone can  use a little inspiration!

Day 24 to THIRTY...

When I was 24 I....

Graduated college, with a degree I currently don't use and have zero future of using.  Yeah for secondary education and student loans! hahaha 

Backpacked around Europe with my best friend {Cindy}.  We both had finished our schooling (before she went to vet school in England) and we took all of our savings and hit Europe.  We spent 3 months traveling and laughing before I had to call my parents and ask for them to pay for my flight home.  We visited 18 countries and 47 cities.  We made friends from all over the world, took a couple thousand photos, made memories that we still laugh about, and inside jokes that no one but us will ever understand.  We bonded and became closer than ever.  No one ever says, 'backpacked Europe and had a shitty time', so as expected it was a time in our lives that we will never be able to relive but will relish forever.

30 to THIRTY...

 

25 was the year of my Champagne birthday, and as a lover of the champs I was so happy that I was in my mid-twenties and I could enjoy it oh so much!  With today being day 25 to THIRTY, I thought I would share what I looked like then!  Pretty much the same, however, red, SHORT hair..lol

It's Tuesday but BOTTOMS UP where ever you are!
