Fall Fun...

Good morning and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

I hope you all had a great weekend, I know I did!

After battling food poisoning a Saturday night out with friends to celebrate Halloween is just what I needed!

Since I had been sick all week and well frankly didn't feel like getting dressed up I picked out this {Forever21} black dress I never wear cause its UBER short and tights from {EvansUK}.  My sister suggested I put a shot glass around my neck and go as "a shot in the dark" DONE!  How awesome is that costume idea.  I mean, I was already wearing the dress so it was simple enough!  Thanks Kirstie!

This is Angela, is one of my closest girlfriends and Halloween IS HER BIRTHDAY!!  She dressed as the tooth fairy, fantastic choice!  Look at her, she totally rocked this costume!

While at the bar I ran into this young lady, Misty.  She said she reads my blog via my sister.  How awesome is that!  It is so great to meet my blog viewers, I appreciate you making this blog part of your day!  So this is my shout out to Misty the Pirate.

On the left is Tyler, he is wearing this AMAZE-ing costume, snakes on a plane! Guy on the right is a TROLL!  Cant believe that guy pulled off that unitard so well.  Kudos guys, great choices!!!

While waiting to get into the bar, the young lady in front of me was a building block!  Since it was a 'C' obviously for Carlie (wink) I had to take a picture for the blog.

Come the end of the evening I had put a hole in my stockings near my butt :(  Thanks to Angela for using nail polish on it so it wouldn't run and further on me.  Even though I had a hole that no one saw, these ladies chose to have their tights like this..lol  Not a look for me!

It's Monday, and lots of great stuff on the blog so, ENJOY YOUR WEEK!!!!

Week in Review...

I am jumping over the rainbow today that this week has finally come to an end.  After battling food poisoning from Tuesday night I am happy to see the weekend!

On Tuesday night I went to see Mumford and Sons in Toronto with some girlfriends and the concert was amazing.  If you ever get to see them live I would very much recommend it.

Tonite I am going to a friends stag and doe, and then hopefully to see RUM DIARY the new Johnny Depp movie.  Also with Halloween this weekend and being sick no costume party for me, but I feel like I get a free pass! lol

Now onto the week in review!  So many great looks graced red carpets.  I have two top favourites, Duchess of Cambridge and Sandra Bullock so make sure to check them out!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend, whether your dressed up or not!  Also, don't get  spooked my all the monsters, ghosts and even sexy kittens roaming the streets! lol

Cheers!

Duchess of Cambridge at a Charity event in London, looking BEYOND Stunning.  I think this is the most daring fashion look she has worn since becoming a Royal, and I hope she continues to make these bold choices because she can very much pull them off.  A top favourite look of the week by far!  Click on the {image} button below to see more angles of this great dress.

Sandra Bullock wearing a dress and a blazer, my classic look..lol A blazer makes any outfit work!  Also, see her bracelet, it's a Pomellato “Tango” brown diamond necklace wrapped around her wrist, what a great way to get a different use out of a piece you may love!

Adore...

I love a good t-shirt that says exactly how I feel, and, makes it easier for people to read me lol.

Nuff Said.

Inspiration...

It is time for TORONTO FASHION WEEK review!  Sadly I could not make it there this  year so all these pictures are from the {Fashion Design Council of Canada} Facebook page; Please go 'LIKE' it and check out the pictures in their true best quality!!!  Pink Tartan was by far my favourite of all the shows; but I am bias to think that, since their clothes are very much my style.  But here are a few of my top favourite shows from the week!

GRIPE...

Well I am having one heck of a start to this Wednesday.  I am having a personal GRIPE, it's called food poisoning.  So yes, that sucks!  So while I compose myself and get thru a day full of work please enjoy today's clothing GRIPE!

This lovely sweatshirt from {Forever21} just screams my childhood and about 1986!  Wouldn't you agree! lol  I don't mind cartoon characters on sweaters at all, but the pattern on the sleeves is a little much and neon yellow, I mean I don't have to say much there do I.  I am not even sure I could style this to look appropriate, maybe with a black maxi skirt?!

I also think there is a little extra GRIPE cause frankly I am Daisy Duck girl at heart!

Happy GRIPE!!!

Fall Fun...

On Sunday Oct 16th my sister and I went out to an event called FOODSTOCK an hour and a half north/east of Guelph.  The event was to raise funds and awareness in protest of what will be the second largest quarry in North America.  I would suggest you take time to read up on this protest {here} and learn how to save our drinking water.

So FOODSTOCK was event that came from the minds of chefs to showcase local foods that would be affected by the quarry being built.  A very grass-roots events had over 100 food vendors and 50 musical artists including, Jeremy Taggart of OLP, Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo, Sarah Harmer, and a few Barenaked Ladies and many more.  The whole thing literally took place a in forest on farm land that owners refused to sell-out.  The lack of news coverage was very disappointing because reports suggest there were over 30,000 people that attended!  Can you believe that number!

Here are some of the great pictures my sister and I were able to take of this once in a lifetime event!

All the people just walking thru the forest having a bite to eat

My sister and I

What I wore: cape- theBay, boots- Hunter, tights/socks- unknown, sunnies- Forever21, shorts- Torrid, sweater/purse- HM (look closely, I am holding my plate!)

No!  It wasn't muddy at all!  It was a farm! lol  Thank goodness for HUNTERS.

Finds...

As I mentioned yesterday I spent the past Saturday shopping up a storm with my mum and sister.  However, I didn't buy anything but while I was in {Town Shoes} I spotted a gem!  A re-make of the famous Alexander McQueen Skull clutch.  For $85 Cdn you can get the Town Shoe version, quite a steal if you ask me!  This is a picture of it below, click {here} to take you to the clutch on their website.  Love a great item found for less!

Just Because...

Well Happy Monday Morning!

My morning has gotten off to a rough start, due to house plumbing issues, no shower.  For a person who likes to shower this is no way to start the week, but things could always be worse.  I am hoping the plumber can get everything fixed so I can shower later today.

This weekend for me was jam packed of frivolous things.  Friday night I had a couple martinis with friends, Saturday was spent with my mum and my sister shopping and then dinner with them and my dad that lasted till 9:30pm.  Come Sunday I ran errands and did a few thing around the house, and was able to take the fur-baby out for a long walk around the neighbourhood since the weather was amazing.

On Sunday evening the OWN network has a show called, VISIONIARIES, and last night's person of interest was TOM FORD.  (for those who are not super tuned into fashion, he is the designer of namesake TOM FORD, and was formerly the designer of Gucci and YSL, he is credited with being the BEST woman's wear designer of all time).  I was completely glued to my TV and was in complete wonder and awe of this incredible man.  I loved Tom Ford before, and after this episode I want him to go on a public speaking tour so I can reveal in his wonderment some more.

{Fashion Magazine} released an article of the 6 things you didn't know about Tom Ford that they learned from last nights show, check out the article {here} its a great read!  We learned he can take up to five baths a day!

Also click {here} to go to the OWN page and check out clips from the episode and deleted scenes that didn't make it in.  Its worth checking out!

As I get my Monday rolling I hope yours is off to a great start as well.  I will leave you  with a classic picture of Tom Ford to help you thru your Starbucks filled Monday AM!

Fall Fun...

Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest happened over the last two weeks, and on the past Friday night I was there!  We had a blast with the friends we go with and partied along side the other 100+ people that attend the Concordia Hall.  Beer and sauerkraut are in high demand, and the laughter flows as much as the pitchers do!

Wearing Toms shoes | Forever21 skirt & shirt | Torrid blazer | Unknown scarf & tights | ALDO purse

The hat that this girl is wearing is worn by most of the die-hard Oktoberfesters.  You adorn the hat with all the pins you collect from all the different halls over the years.  She had quite the collection.  Thanks for letting me take a picture of your hat! :)
Prost to next year and all the fun to come!  Countdown 2012 is on!
